  • Mother Nature's Surprise Visit

    Dorothymae Freeman

eBook (Page Publishing Inc, April 19, 2016)
During any Hurricane Season Young People and Adults fear, these dangerous storms and the violent 2004 Season with four major Hurricanes had that such effect on Florida. It severely left an impact that has gone down in our history books as one of the worse and most unusual set of invaders.Personal experience in riding out some of Florida’s Hurricanes as well as her Tornadoes and other weather threats, dealing with their aftermath gave rise to my idea of creating one of Mother Natures’ Powerful Weather Patterns. HURRICANES. My illustrated book about one such group of “Surprise Invaders” that left an unforgettable mark in Florida is what both my wife who help with her writing skills and I put together. We wished to have a favorable impact on children so that they would not be frightened, but help them in learning of the relationship between Mother Nature and her control over one such damaging weather pattern. As another anniversary date of these historical Hurricanes nears, we are reminded once again of the Surprise Visitors of 2004. They are always a topic of conversation at the start of the season on June 1.
